Some things I read that I enjoyed this week:

  • I am continually embarrassed by my lack of Unix (POSIX?) knowledge, so these little StackOverflow searches are fun. Found in a search to mimic the way you redirect to /dev/clip on some Linux systems to put stuff in the clipboard. It lead to a fun discussion with a colleague about how the macOS clipboard is not just a simple file handle but likely a weird database setup similar to iPhoto, for the purpose of “moving” large objects around. He conjured up a solution for me that used /dev/tty which lead to my embarrassed Googling.
